In Letters to a Young Poet, Rainer Maria Rilke proposed a self-inquiry where he wrote, “Ask yourself must I write? Delve into yourself for a deep answer. And if this should be affirmative, if you may meet this earnest question with a strong and simple I must, then build your life according to this necessity; your life even into its most indifferent and slightest hour must be a sign of this urge and a testimony to it.”  Nothing short of an epiphany, Jennifer, a poet and fiction writer, awoke to the realization that she had always wanted to write and dreamt of becoming a published writer.  Inspired by her childhood memories in the Philippines and other influences, Jennifer writes about Asians and Asian-Americans and the unique challenges they face generated by their history, traditions, and rich cultures.  Her passion is motivated by the strong belief that God has a purpose to fulfill in her life and He alone establishes the work of her hands (Ps 90:17).  Aside from writing, Jennifer is also into drawing, painting, and photography. She resides in Houston, Texas and pursuing a Bachelors Degree in English, with concentration in Creative Writing at the University of Houston.
