The Creative Writer’s Collectives’ (CWC) three founding members first met in Spring 2007 during an engaging and productive creative writing workshop sponsored through the University of Houston. The following summer we rejoined to continue this format of discussion independently. What began as an inspirational afternoon at It’s a Grind, quickly shaped into a writer’s support group with aims of fostering each other’s literary talents and unique artistic abilities.

Since then, we’ve been holding regular meetings to share our philosophies, insights, and goals about the writing process.  Eventually we hope to gain more exposure through either self-publication or association with a publisher.

We recognize and value our individual voices and perspectives while appreciating the spirit of collectiveness that is integral to creative development.
